Where data is stored
The service runs on Cloudflare. Original files and reports are stored in Cloudflare R2 under an EU jurisdiction restriction. Ask us for the full list of services and locations.
Who else sees it
To search the web, short extracts are sent to our search provider (Brave Search). Your library and submissions are never shared with other institutions.
How long we keep it
Original files are deleted after 30 days and reports after 12 months by default. Each institution can shorten these periods, and individual documents can be deleted at any time.
People decide, not software
Reports show evidence of shared text. They never label a student as guilty or change a grade. We recommend human review of every flagged submission.
Trial documents
Documents checked during a trial are not added to your library unless you choose to add them.
Access and security
Each organisation's data is kept separate. API keys are stored only as secure hashes, admin access is protected, and all traffic is encrypted.
